Police issue appeal to locate specific witness following fatal collision

Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a specific witness who may have information about a collision in which a pedestrian died.

Edith Caunt, 86, of Uphill, died following a collision involving a black Land Rover Freelander on the A370 Bridgwater Road between Burnham-On-Sea and Weston at 5.35pm on Sunday 31st July.

“We’re trying to identify a man who was around 30 years old, wearing an orange t-shirt, who was driving a small hatchback vehicle.”

“He told other witnesses he’d seen the collision so we need to speak to him as part of our continuing investigation.”
