set to decorate Burnham's streets with flags this summer
& Highbridge Town Council has this week launched a new school
flag project that aims to add extra colour to the High Street.
This council hopes to work with four local schools to design a
range of flags to be displayed in the town centre in Burnham.
initiative aims to engage with a wide age-range of children and
is part of the Tesco S106 work and promoted by the council's Town
coordinator for the project, Juliet Farnese, pictured right unveiling
her town centre 'you are here boards' in Burnham last year, said
the challenge will be to co-ordinate the design of 30 new flags
for the town centre.
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The designs must work together
and add to the desire for a bright, welcoming atmosphere that
celebrates the arts."
