The countdown to this month’s Burnham-On-Sea Food & Drink Festival is underway with a launch party held for the event’s supporters and organisers.

The Food Festival team gave a run-down of the traders, events and entertainment planned for Saturday 22nd October in the town centre, which includes several new elements.

Festival co-organiser Bev Milner Simonds told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The ninth festival will be bigger and better than ever – we have over 100 local food and drink producers from the area, plus live music all day.”

“A new Young Makers Market is being launched for the first time and will be trading outside the Methodist Church.

“We will also have great chef demonstrations on the KDS Stage, a cookery school with free classes all day, apple bobbing championships all day and free to enter, giant tractors in College Street, plus a display of sheep, chickens and ducks.”

“We thank everyone for their support during the first eight festivals and we look forward to the ninth event celebrating the harvest in our home town.”

The Great Burnham Bake Off will be returning, as featured here, and the Burnham Brew Off is also back with details here. The festival will run from 9am-4pm.
