Mayor’s dismay at two-metre tall graffiti daubed on Burnham’s sea wall

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor has this week hit out at vandals who have scrawled bizarre graffiti over the town’s sea wall.

The huge message, simply stating “Flat Earth”, has been daubed in two-metre tall letters over part of the wall on the North Esplanade.

Steam cleaning equipment may have to be used by council cleaners to remove the lettering.

Mayor Cllr Michael Clarke told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the “graffiti vandals” are letting the town down.

“It is very disappointing that a small minority of people do this from time to time. It costs us money to remove, meaning that other council services may not receive as much financial support as a result,” he added.
