Air ambulance flies in to Highbridge to help patient after heart attack

An air ambulance landed at Highbridge's King Alfred School on Monday morning (February 22nd) to help a patient.

The green Great Western Air Ambulance landed in the school grounds to help a nearby resident who had suffered a suspected cardiac arrest.

The patient was taken to the helicopter and flown to a hospital in Bristol for emergency treatment.

The normal yellow Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was busy on another incident elsewhere in the region at the same time.
