music event organiser apologises over cancellation
organiser of an outdoor music event due to be held in Highbridge
on Sunday (August 7th) has apologised to residents after it was
cancelled due to high winds.
residents were left diappointed after arriving at the event, called
Music at The Rec, at Southwell House gardens, to find it had been
of local acts was due to perform - including Rustique, pictured
above, plus Sam Patten, Nick and Chris, the Polden Mountain Boys,
plus Ben and Toby.
Mike Murphy, Chairman of organising group CADS (Burnham and Highbridge
Cultural Arts and Development Society), told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"I would like to express my sincere apologies and personal
disappointment at this cancellation after so much work in confirming
bands, vendors and stalls."

do apologise to any who missed our communications or those who came
to the event and were disappointed or if our communication was not
as effective as it could be."
