Final work is underway to complete this year’s carnival float at Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club in readiness for the start of the carnival season in just two weeks time.

The club’s space-themed entry is called ‘Reach 4 The Stars’ and this year features giant planets, stars and moving space parts.

The team at the club are busily putting the finishing touches to their colourful entry inside a new shelter on the Isleport Industrial Estate.

Hillview Chairman Duncan Britton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Everything is on track and the team are working together really well to get it finished. Excitement is definitely starting to build.”

The entry will go on public display for the first time at Bridgwater Carnival on Saturday 5th November and will then take pride of place at the 70th Highbridge and Burnham-On-Sea Carnival on Monday November 7th.

The volunteers are working to get the huge entry painted in time for the start of the carnival season.
