Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rescue trapped horse
were the scenes when fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea rescued a horse
stuck in a water-filled ditch at a farm in Lympsham on Wednesday
were called to Whitegates Farm in Lympsham just after 1.30pm to
free the horse, which was 18 hands tall and six years old.

a specialist rescue team from Barnstaple.

at the bank to make better access," said a spokesman.
3.15pm the specialist rescue team started using a Hampshire lifting
tool, strops and lines to lift the horse out of the ditch.
4.15pm the horse was rescued and duty of care was left with the
vet and owner.
