Burnham-On-Sea youngster’s sponsored bear hug raises hundreds!

-

A Burnham-On-Sea youngster who has raised hundreds of pounds for charity got to meet several of the VIPs who turned on the town’s Christmas lights.

Young Jack Hale has raised more than £200 for Children In Need through his ‘hug a teddy’ fundraiser in which he’s encouraged friends and relatives to hug his bear in return for a donation.

“He did so well and really got into the spirit of it and was so pleased to get so many donations,” said proud father Paul. “Thanks go to everyone who supported him.”

Jack met several of the VIPs before Burnham’s switch-on, including ITV weatherman Bob Crampton, Carnival Queen Hannah Sainsbury and Burnham postman Mark Penfold, as pictured here.
