Burnham-On-Sea’s jetty is getting thousands of pounds of repairs this week after being damaged in recent stormy high tides.

Sedgemoor District Council’s contractors are working on the jetty in between the high tides.

Spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are currently repairing the jetty surface.”

“The work is to repair tarmac which was ripped up during the recent storms. The work will take two days and will cost in the region of £12,000.”
