New Berrow and Brean Priest In Charge welcomed at village service

The Bishop of Taunton was among 200 people who filled a local church on Tuesday evening (August 23rd) to formally welcome the area's new Priest in Charge.

The Rev'd Jonathan Philpott, formerly Priest in Charge of the Greater Bybrook Group in the Diocese of Bristol, has this week taken on the role of Priest in Charge for the Berrow and Brean Benefice.

A service was held on Tuesday evening at Berrow Church to mark his arrival.

Jonathan said: "I am delighted to be taking on the role and have been made to feel so welcome. It's been a wonderful first day and I look forward to meeting my parisioners over the coming weeks."
