A group of kung fu students from the Burnham-On-Sea area have taken part in a national competition.
The Berrow Youth Kung Fu Group took part in the Fei Lung Kwan National Junior Championships in Horton, Berkshire, which saw classes from around the country come together to compete against each other.
In two of the three age catagories, the Berrow group achieved success.
In the 10 and under age category, 1st place went to Frazer Broadway, with 2nd place going to Poppy Kilduff and 3rd place going to Andreas Laoutaris.
In the 13 – 15 age category Rhiana Sinclair achieved 1st place and was also the overall champion for the third year in sucession. 2nd was Sophie Butt.
After the competition, the class went for a traditional Chinese meal and stayed overnight in a hotel, before travelling to Thorpe Park on Sunday morning for a day of fun, which everybody thoroughly enjoyed, before travelling home on Sunday evening.
