Burnham-On-Sea road to shut for four months for water works
busy road in Burnham-On-Sea is set to close for FOUR MONTHS due
to major roadworks, it's been confirmed this week.
Lane will shut, from the junction with Stoddens Lane to the Tesco
roundabout, from 9th Jan 2017 through to 19th May 2017. The closure
will allow Wessex Water to lay new sewer pipes.
East, a Wessex Water spokeswoman, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Were
currently carrying out essential improvements to the sewerage network
in Brent Knoll, as part of a larger scheme to reduce the risk of
flooding during times of intense rainfall."
"Part of this work involves laying new sewer pipes along Love
Lane and the fields adjacent to Stoddens Lane, so some site
traffic may be visible."
