war veteran's search for couple who helped him after accident
Burnham-On-Sea war veteran who suffered an accident while on holiday
overseas is trying to get in touch with a mystery Bristol couple
who helped him.
Jones, who is also a former Mayor of Burnham and Highbridge, was
taken to hospital after suffering a fall at a restaurant while
on holiday in Malta last month.
couple came to his aid after spotting him in difficulty and helped
him on several occasions in the days afterwards.
who was taken to hospital and had four stitches to a head wound,
is now recovering well and is back in Burnham.

all they did."
describes them as a "man and woman aged in their mid 40s
with a son aged around 12, who live on the north eastern side
were among the passengers who flew back with me to Bristol on
a Ryanair flight which left Malta at 10.50am on April 14th, arriving
at 1.35pm. They were staying at the Fortina Hotel in Malta."
added: "After my fall I was left quite dizzy and needed someone
to help me, so they were wonderful. I don't have their names so
I know this is a long-shot to find them, but with the help of
social media it's just possible they could be found."
Jones OBE was a Sub Lieutenant onboard the naval carrier HMS Speaker,
the first Allied ship into Tokyo Bay during World War II.
