Hundreds of people headed to Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Picnic in the Park when it returned to the town’s Manor Gardens on Sunday (July 3rd).

The 20th annual event featured live music from headliners The Leylines, alongside Foreign Affairs, a fantastic duo from Bristol.

The free event is run by CADS (Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society) and is partly funded by the Town Council.

Organiser Mike Murphy, right, said it had been a great success. “We had a superb turnout in the park on a fantastic afternoon – it was perfect conditions for a picnic,” he said.

There was also music form Emanim, a powerful duo, plus soloist Corin and new band Windtip featuring the guitar and voice of Tim Fardon, a favourite on the local scene.
