Sporty fundraisers from Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge have taken part in a special event this week to raise cash for two good causes.

Members of 1610 King Alfred Sports Centre took part in a ‘piloxing’ class as part of National Fitness Day on Wednesday (7th September) to raise money for 1610 charity partners Mind and Breast Cancer Now.

“Piloxing is a fun combination of pilates, boxing and dance,” said Centre Manager and class leader Kelly Burne, pictured here in the front at the centre.

Participants were invited to wear pink clothing and donate £2 to take part in the class, raising a good sum for the causes.
