school pupils decorate tree to illustrate the beauty of poetry
students at a Highbridge school have decorated this tree during
a project to illustrate the beauty of poetry.
8 students at King Alfred School decorated the trees with colourful
rbibons and poems.
tutor group chose a theme for 'the Poetree', choosing topics such
as under the sea, Olympics and Paralympics, animals, Disney, space
tutor group then set about writing their poems based on their
theme, and the tutor group judged to have the best selection of
poems will get a prize at their end of year assembly.
King Alfred School did this to highlight just how beautiful poetry
it can be," said Miss D Booth, Literacy Co-ordinator.
