Crowds of people got into the festive spirit by attending a popular fundraising Christmas fair in Berrow on Sunday (27th November).

The event, ‘Shop for a Cure for Christmas’, was held in aid of Somerset Breast Cancer Now in Berrow Village Hall.

Organiser Holly MacBeth told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “What another fantastic day for our amazing charity! Thank you so very much for everyone’s support and donations in anyway from our lovely stall holders and face painters, henna art and krazy kev and to you the public for always turning out to our events.”

“You have helped smash another year by raising £1,068.17. That beats last year by over £250! We are so overwhelmed once again by your kind generosity!”

Stall holders displayed a wide range of Christmas items, from cakes, art and chocolate to handmade jewellery and handmade cards.

Youngsters were also able to enjoy bunting and button decorating and pottery-making. The charity is holding its annual ball on Saturday to finish the year’s fundraising.
