fire crews tackled a large blaze in a silage pit at Wedmore on Thursday
appliance from Cheddar, two from Burnham-On-Sea and one from Bridgwater,
along with a water carrier from Bridgwater, were sent to the incident
at 6.20am to a barn in Poolbridge Road.

before 10am, the incident commander confirmed that the fire was
out. Crews extinguished the fire involving a barn containing silage,
tyres and plastic sheeting. The cause of the fire was accidental.
