A special family fun day to celebrate Somerset Day is to be held at Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens today (Saturday, May 14th).

The event will run from 10am-4pm to celebrate the unique day, with stalls selling local cheese, cider and cakes, as well as live music, games, face painting and a barbecue.

Brave fundraiser Jason Vickers will be going in the stocks to have wet sponges thrown out him while raising money for charity.

The live music through the day will include 11am-12pm Borderline (acoustic mix), 12-12.45pm We Three (country), 12.45-1.15pm Lost In The Grass (bluegrass), 1.15-2pm We Three and 2-4pm Rustique.
