New headteacher takes on role at Burnham-On-Sea school

-

A Burnham-On-Sea school has a new acting head teacher this week after the previous person in the role retired in July.

Gavin Morris retired from Burnham’s St Andrew’s Junior School at the end of last term after 16 years due to a health warning.

The Governing Body of St Andrew’s has appointed Mrs Ali Pook, pictured right, to be Acting Head Teacher and Mrs Chrissie Collett to be Acting Deputy Head Teacher.

“They have both been part of the leadership team of St Andrew’s for the past 10 years and they look forward to taking the school forward over the next year,” said a spokeswoman.

“They will be working to ensure the school continues to provide the best possible learning environment and outcomes for all the pupils.”
