tides warning in Burnham-On-Sea, Brean and Berrow this week
and other beach users have been warned to be aware of exceptionally
high tides in Burnham-On-Sea, Brean and Berrow over the coming
series of high tides at around 12 metres are due, prompting Coastguards
to warn beach walkers and motorists to take extra caution.

on Friday are 8.19am (11.96m) and 8.41pm (11.96m), then Saturday
at 9.03am (12.04m) and 9.24pm (11.91m), Sunday at 9.46am (11.82m)
and 10.05pm (11.57m).
Coastguard Officer Dave Welland said: "We do advise people
to take extra care as there will be a greater risk of getting
into difficulty during this week's high tides. Check the tide
times and stay away from areas where you might get cut-off or
wardens will be clearing beach parking areas in advance of the
high tides to try and avoid any motorists getting into difficulty.
Crews at Burnham-On-Sea Coastguard, BARB Search & Rescue and
Burnham RNLI will be on call through the weekend, as normal, to
respond to any incidents.
