most festive street' lights up for Xmas in Burnham-On-Sea
Burnham-On-Sea cul-de-sac whose stunning display of over 100,000
twinkling Christmas lights has been dubbed 'Britain's most festive
street' lit up for the start of the festive season on Thursday night
Trinity Close residents have decorated their homes top to bottom
with colourful lights, in addition to roofs, lawns and garden fences,
and the display is now lit each night from 4.30pm-10pm until January
4th, helping charities.
Trinity Close homes switched on their illuminations in freezing
fog last night, accompanied by carols and a modern version of A
Christmas Carol laid on by new Burnham-On-Sea performance group
lights raised £11,688 for charity last year and this year's
collection will benefit PETAL: The Christine Woodberry Memorial
Trust and Burnham's own charity BARB Search & Rescue, which
operates the town's rescue hovercrafts and inshore rescue boats.
Roger Flower told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It's a superb display
this year - it gets bigger and better every year."
