A burst water main sent water gushing into the air in the middle of Highbridge on Monday afternoon (December 12th).

Bristol Water was called to the A38 opposite the Jubilee Gardens in the town shortly after 2.30pm when residents raised the alarm.

A Bristol Water spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A water meter had burst, which caused quite a dramatic sight for passing motorists.”

“Fortunately our team was able to quickly fix it and just one property was without water.”
