Water restored to 500 homes in Burnham-On-Sea after mains burst

-

Hundreds of homes in Burnham-On-Sea were without water supplies on Thursday (December 29th) following a mains burst.

Bristol Water says 500 homes in the Worston Lane area of Burnham were affected.

Spokeswoman Alison Jennings told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had to do a temporary isolation to fix a burst on a four-inch diameter main in Worston Lane.”

“Approximately 500 homes were impacted by no water or low pressure while we carried out the repairs, which took just over an hour.”

“We sent a text message/voicemail warning to customers that the water was going off and sent another to tell them it was back on. We apologise for the short inconvenience caused.”
