A prominent estate agent is set to close down its Burnham-On-Sea town centre branch over the next week.

Wild Goose Property, located at the junction of Burnham’s High Street and Victoria Street, is shutting down the branch this Monday (October 31st).

“The decision to close the Wild Goose office in Burnham on Sea was not taken lightly,” owner Graham Thompson told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“However, due to an extra-ordinary combination of ill health and staffing issues it became unrealistic to keep it open.”

“This has no effect whatsoever on the other offices in Bedminster and Cheddar, with all matters being transferred from the Burnham office to Cheddar with Paul Wilbourne ensuring a seemless transition.”

“Indeed, we will continue to offer our services to the Burnham on Sea community as over the years we have gained many loyal clients, albeit from our Cheddar office.”

“‘Rentin lettings agency’, which shared the same office space, continues unaffected and it is our desire to open its own ‘letting office’ in the near future. Headed by Josh Kaye, ‘Rentin’ are going from strength to strength, so watch this space!”

The local property market is “challenging” but that property values in Burnham-On-Sea are showing modest gains.
