Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue hovercraft charity is holding a unique 50/50 auction today (Saturday, October 14th).

BARB Search & Rescue is organising the 50/50 charity auction at St Andrew’s Church Hall in Burnham-On-Sea.

“We are delighted that Ian Walker from Tamlyns will be wielding the auction gavel at what is expected to be an exciting afternoon,” said organiser Craig Dunbar, pictured.

“If you are having a de-clutter or have household items you just don’t want anymore, you can raise funds for yourself and BARB at the same time. All proceeds will be divided between the providers of the lots and BARB.”

Items of value for the auction should be delivered to St Andrew’s Hall between 10.30am and 12.30pm on Saturday 14th October.

Each individual lot must be described on an auction entry form which must be submitted to the organisers on the day. Electrical items, weapons or large furniture will not be accepted.

Viewing will be held between 12.30pm and 2.30pm with bidding starting at 2.30pm. Refreshments will be available.

Those items that sell will see the seller receiving 50% of the sale price, with the remainder going to BARB Search & Rescue, a registered charity.

All items must be paid for and collected on the day. All items entered into the auction are entered at the seller’s own risk. The organisers are not responsible for any remuneration for damaged, broken or stolen items.

All unsold items can be collected from the hall after the auction, no later than 6.00pm with any unsold items uncollected being disposed of at the discretion of BARB and the full proceeds for the disposal going to BARB.
