Volunteers are being sought for a beach clean this Saturday (September 16th) that will mark the first anniversary of the formation of the Friends of Burnham-On-Sea Beach.

It will run from 10am-12 mid-day, with volunteers meeting at the entrance to the River Brue by the sailing club.

“The Friends of Burnham Beach are meeting up to dedicate some of their time to clear our beaches of unsightly and harmful litter,” organiser Mark Hollidge told Burmham-On-Sea.com.

“This beach clean marks our first anniversary because we started in September 2016 and we have done the task 10 times over the year. A big thank you goes to everyone who has supported us over that period.”

He added that all are welcome at this Saturday’s beach clean.

Equipment will be provided. Children must be 5 years or older and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the day.
