Burnham-On-Sea’s BEES attract sell-out audiences with ‘Cats’ musical

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre hosted two sell-out performances of the musical ‘Cats’ by the talented youngsters from Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society (BEES) last weekend.

The society, which has been running for over 23 years, performed the full-length version of the hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musical for delighted audiences on Saturday and Sunday, as pictured here.

The 36 members of the society, aged 4-18, took part with such energy and professionalism that the audience was forgiven for thinking they were watching in the West End.

The group’s Vikki Hart told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We received so much positive feedback from everyone and are delighted with how it went.”

“The show was 11 months in the making – we started back in January and everyone worked so well together.”

Members of BEES now have a few weeks off over Christmas until rehearsals begin in January for its next show, ‘Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’.

It will be peformed in June 2018 and new members will be welcome at a casting session to be held on January 7th, 2018.
