Burnham-On-Sea groups have this week been offered a chance to get a free supply of Spring bulbs.

Sedgemoor District Council has managed to secure a limited supply of ‘woodland mix’ spring bulbs for Parish and Town Councils, as well as Community groups to plant themselves, to help maintain Sedgemoor’s beautiful countryside.

“The bags of bulbs are 25 kilos in weight, need to be planted within the next four weeks and will provide a ‘blooming lovely’ display in the spring,” said the council’s Paula Barber this week.

Community groups or local parish councils can register an interest via e-mail to
clean.surroundings@sedgemoor.gov.uk or by calling 0300 303 780. The closing date is Friday 3rd November 2017.

Bulbs will be allocated according to interest, one bag per organisation, and made available to collect from the council’s depot in Colley Lane, Bridgwater or delivered direct.
