Burnham-On-Sea firefighters rescued a cow stuck in a ditch in Brent Knoll on Wednesday afternoon (May 10th).

A fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea along with a special rescue team from Bridgwater were sent to Crooked Lane, Brent Knoll at just after 4.15pm.

It followed a call reporting that a cow was stuck in a water-filled ditch.

“The crews used dry suits, guide lines and water safety gear to release the cow from the ditch,” said a fire spokesman.

“The cow was then left in the hands of its owner.”
