Fire crews were called to a two-vehicle crash on the A38 near Burnham-On-Sea and also helped a woman after a collapse on Saturday (June 10th).

One fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea and one from Bridgwater was set to the scene in Burnham Moor Lane, Highbridge at 12.07pm.

“Crews confirmed that two vehicles were involved and assisted one uninjured female from one of the cars.”

“Crews confirmed that no persons were medically or physically trapped and got to work making the vehicles and the scene safe.”

As they were retuning to station at 12.35pm, the fire crew came across an elderly female who had collapsed on the pavement in Burnham-On-Sea’s Frank Foley Parkway.

Crews requested the attendance of an ambulance and rendered first aid and gave oxygen therapy to the patient whilst awaiting their arrival. The ambulance was on scene very quickly and they then took over duty of care.
