Burnham-On-Sea fire crews help three people after A38 crash

Three people required first aid after a crash on the A38 on Friday.

Fire crews from Bridgwater and Burnham-On-Sea were called to the junction of A38 and Bristol Road at Walpole, near Bridgwater, just after 2.30pm.

A spokesperson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “One fire appliance from Bridgwater was originally mobilised to a report of a car smoking following a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry outside British Car Auctions.”

“On arrival, crews informed control that this incident was on the main A38 junction and a further appliance from Burnham-On-Sea was mobilised.”

“The first crew confirmed there were no persons trapped but the fire service were rendering first aid to three adults and requested an ambulance for one for precautionary measures.”

“One hose reel jet and small tools were used to make the vehicles safe.”
