Burnham-On-Sea Police have arrested two people after a large amount of drugs were found as a result of warrants carried out in Wedmore and Cheddar this month.

Three warrants have been executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act and a quantity of class A drugs and an estimated £95,000 worth of cannabis were seized, pictured above.

Two men, both aged 54, have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

PC Tracey Jones, of the neighbourhood policing team, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This was a significant find of class A and B drugs which came as a direct result of an intelligence-led police operation.”

“We will always act on information about the supply of illegal drugs in our local communities and would encourage people to call us if they have any suspicions or concerns.”
