Over 400 people attended East Brent Harvest Home on Friday (August 25th).

The traditional, long-running event is held every year on the last Friday in the August.

The annual event was held in a huge marquee set up in a field next to Withy Road in the village.

After the traditional harvest lunch, there were competitions, plus live music and entertainment.

Among the special guests were Mary James MBE and Alan Lyons of the Royal Bath and West Show. Burnham’s former MP Tessa Munt was one of the food servers.

The teams ready to parade the bread and a truckle of cheese into the marquee.

Awaiting the arrival of the puddings, bread and cheese. The traffic along the A38 was halted to allow the procession to pass.

The organisers were delighted at how the popular event had gone.

An auction of produce was hailed a success.
