Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rushed to Sedgemoor Services on Wednesday (January 18th) to tackle a car blaze.

Crews were called to the southound services between Burnham-On-Sea and Weston at 12.25pm.

“Two fire appliances from Burnham-On-Sea were sent to a report of a vehicle on fire,” said a spokesman.

“On arrival the crews confirmed that the vehicle – a Ford Mondeo – was well alight.”

“The car was 100% damaged by fire and was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a compressed air foam jet.”
