Burnham-On-Sea footballer joins elite female programme
young Burnham-On-Sea footballer is set to join an elite programme
that could help her meet her goal of playing the sport professionally.
Robinson, 16, has signed up to the elite performance programme at
Bridgwater and Taunton College.
the college recognising her elite potential, she has also been successfully
awarded a sports scholarship to help support her financially towards
a range of different items.
a Year 11 pupil, is currently in GCSE exam mode, but from September
she'll be studying her chosen academic course whilst also training
13+ hours per week, which will include technical and tactical sessions,
strength and conditioning, match analysis, psychology plus more.
will be joining a whole host of other talented names, some of whom
are to international standard, and the squad will play in the highest
division of college football (Category One Elite League).
has been playing for Yeovil Town Ladies FC U16s and has also represented
the South West of England and is on the England Talent Pathway with
the Somerset FA Advanced Coaching Centre.
has scored 44 goals this season for her club and has been awarded
the top goalscorer award for the past three years after an incredible
22 goals for Somerset.
