Burnham-On-Sea Library is to host a special ‘Fossil Fun Day’ during the school half-term holidays this Friday (October 27th).

The family event, to be held from 10.30am-12noon, will be free of charge. There will be fossils and rocks to see, plus hands-on fossil and rock activities with with the Somerset Earth Science Centre team.

The event will be part of the ‘Mendip Rocks! Festival’, a month of events to celebrate the 450 million year geological history of the Mendip Hills.

If you have a favourite fossil or stone, visitors can bring them along for an interactive story.
