greengrocer boosts trade in town centre
opening of a new greengrocer in Burnham-On-Sea has helped boost
the trade of other food shops in the town centre.
Gardiner-Whites greengrocers opened last week at 25 The High
Street, offering a mixture of fresh fruit, vegetables and food produce.

has had a busy first few days.

Bashford at Truckles farm shop in The High Street told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"A good greengrocery store has been long overdue in Burnham
and is very welcome - our sales of fresh meat and poultry have definitely
been up this past week with extra people in the High Street."
Mount at Burnham fishmonger Seafoods added: "Our trade has
been up over the last week - every day has been busier than expected.
More local people seem to be coming into the town centre for their
food shop, giving Burnham a shot in the arm."
Colin Morris at GW Hurleys told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I'm very
pleased to see the new greengrocers has opened - it seems to have
given a boost to the town centre. The High Street has been busy
this past week."
