A group of volunteers in Burnham-On-Sea that helps needy people across the area is set to celebrate its first anniversary.

‘Hands of Change Burnham’ was launched in January 2016 with the aim of making small, but positive, changes in the local community.

The group’s Kay Marie Barrett, pictured with fellow members, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We would like to thank the community for supporting us this year and giving their time and many free items to people in need such as the homeless.”

“To thank them, we are holding a first year party which will be a free event but places must be reserved in advance.”

“We will have live music, a human auction offering things like gardening, dog walking, massage, basic computer training, a craft session, and more plus a raffle of amazing artwork donated by the street artist of Spray Jam and donations from local buisnesses.”

It will be held on Saturday 28th January from 7pm-11pm at Burnham’s Ritz Social Club in Victoria Street. To reserve a space, call 07713 232588.
