Burnham-On-Sea’s In Charley’s Memory given £440 concert boost

-

Singers from Burnham-On-Sea Youth Choir and Burnham On Song were in fine voice and sang their hearts out to a near-capacity audience at Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrew’s Church on Saturday evening (December 2nd) in aid of ‘In Charley’s Memory.’

The groups entertained the congregation with their uplifting festive songs at the annual Christmas concert.

The performers and soloists – including Emily Thomas, Evelyn Rowland, Grace Holman, Leah Norton and Grace Baker – all sang fantastically well.

The evening ended with Burnham Youth Choir leading their ever-popular and traditional fun-filled ’12 Days of Christmas’ involving the congregation.

“We are delighted to have raised £442 for ‘In Charley’s Memory’ after a very successful and enjoyable evening,” said organiser Siobhan Johnson.

In Charley’s Memory was set up after Charley took his own life, aged 18, in September 2014.

The charity now supports and helps hundreds of young people and those affected by mental health.

Among those present was former MP Tessa Munt, who has been a long-time supporter of In Charley’s Memory.
