A well-known Burnham-On-Sea runner has raised over £25,000 for charity by completing his 59th half marathon.

Jason Vickers, who works at Burnham-On-Sea’s Tesco supermarket and is a member of Burnham Harriers Running Club, hit the milestone after completing the Great North Run.

He completed the run in a time of just over two hours and 56 minutes, raising funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The plucky runner, who suffers from Crohn’s Disease, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I really enjoyed it – they were perfect running conditions.”

“I’m delighted to have raised £25,126 for the MS Society from my many runs over the years and thank everyone that’s supported me.”
