investigate theft of jewellery from Burnham-On-Sea shop
Police investigation is underway after the theft of several valuables
from a Burnham-On-Sea jewellery shop.

spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "A man and a
woman went into the jewellery shop at lunchtime on Tuesday (18th
July) to look at rings." They took two rings off a ring pad
and left the shop."
returned later in the afternoon. While the woman was talking to
a shop assistant, the man tried to take two rings but the assistant
grabbed both rings and the suspects left, got in a car and drove
rings were recovered. It's believed that other items were also taken
in the incident and Police enquiries are continuing in what appears
to have been a 'distraction theft'.
