was among dozens of firefighters tackling a big blaze near Wedmore
on Thursday (May 25th).
were called to the property at Mudgley Cross Roads in Mudgley Lane,
Mudgley at mid-day.
fire had started in a shed and quickly spread to a semi-detached
two-storey building with two large central heating oil tanks.
appliances from Cheddar and Glastonbury were initially sent to the
scene, followed by further appliances from Street, Bridgwater, Wells,
Burnham-On-Sea, Castle Cary and Taunton.

fire. Crews got to work with a safety jet, a compressed air foam
jet, two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus wearers,"
said a spokesman.
