your say on Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge's future growth
in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge have this week been asked for their
views on a new Neighbourhood Plan which will determine how the two
towns develop in the future.
new Plan, published this week, outlines future housing needs and
development in Burnham-On-Sea, Highbridge and the parish of Burnham

is being sought by Sedgemoor District Council on the Plan until
November 21st before a final version is issued. A referendum is
also to be held in Burnham and Highbridge next year on adopting
it. The submitted plan is available here.
District Council spokeswoman said this week: "In September,
Sedgemoor District Council received a submission of a neighbourhood
plan for the Burnham and Highbridge area."
are satisfied that this submission meets with the requirements of
the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012 and in accordance with
those regulations, as Local Planning Authority, we are publicising
the plan for a minimum period of six weeks from 10th October 2017
to 21st November 2017."
plan has been compiled with the involvement of local residents and
groups, including the Town Council, Sedgemoor District Council and
Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade.
