The owner of this young puppy has thanked shop staff in Burnham-On-Sea for their help after the dog was attacked and bitten by another animal in the town centre this week.

Catherine Cooksley says Spider, her 18-week-old ‘Springador’, pictured, was left with a “nasty nip on his lip and a hole inside his mouth” after the attack on Tuesday.

She told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I would like to thank the staff at the RNLI shop in the High Street and staff from other nearby shops who came out to see if my puppy was OK after he was bitten by another dog.”

“They showed such kindness, asking if he was OK and it made me feel so grateful that people cared.”

“My thanks also go to the staff at Blake Vet Clinic for seeing Spider so quickly – it’s such a friendly place and we were very grateful.”

She added: “Spider is on the mend now and back to being his mischievous self.”
