students raise hundreds for charity in rag week
and Highbridge sixth form students at King Alfred School have raised
hundreds of pounds for a local charity during their annual Rag Week.
Collard and members of the Sixth Form Student committee have proudly
presented a cheque for £293 to Mandy Ellis of Somewhere House,
a Burnham charity providing support to those with mental health
and emotional issues.
Form students organised the events which took place during breaks
and lunchtimes to raise an incredible total of £586 in one
the Teacher, Staff vs. Sixth Form charity football match and a Kahoot
Quiz proved popular with students and staff, the events were well
supported by the whole school.
