Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge students from King Alfred School have returned to their studies following a summer trip to Rome.

A group of sixth form students enjoyed a special trip to the Italian city over the summer, visiting many well-known tourist destinations.

“Enjoying hot, sunny weather the students particularly enjoyed visiting classical sites including the Colosseum, the Forum and the Pantheon,” said the school’s Christine Platel.

“The students also hold great memories of Rome nightlife and highlights included visits to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Trastevere and Gianicolo Hill with its breath-taking views over Rome.”

“The students are now looking forward to a trip to Berlin in 2018 as a reward for working so hard on their A-levels.”
