More than 280 Scouts, Beavers, Cubs and Explorers from across the area gathered on Burnham-On-Sea beach on Tuesday evening (June 27th) for a mass sandcastle building competition.
Youngsters from Burnham, Highbridge, Berrow, Cheddar, Bridgwater and Berrow were among the groups who took part in the 17th annual contest besides the jetty.
Dozens of fun entries were dug in the sand, including boats, castles, planes and cars!
The leaders said they were delighted with how the event had gone: “It was a fantastic evening with superb weather and a very good turnout. This event brings together our groups from across the district for a fun evening.”
