A weekend of celebrations was held at St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-On-Sea to mark the completion of a major refurbishment project.

The 700-year-old building has undergone a programme of internal improvements in recent months, the first for 40 years.

It has been redecorated inside, a new lighting system has been installed, the organ pipes have been restored and furniture cleaned.

The church was open over the weekend when an art exhibition and floral displays were held.

And on Saturday evening a gala concert took place, led by the Vicar Reverend Graham Witts, pictured.

Among those performing were the church choir and local singers including Francesca Bowkett, Ieuan Cornish, Paul Bowkett, Louisa Arthur, Maureen Moore and John Page.
